Maker Camp will be held on Tuesdays & Wednesdays 11 am to 1pm. Please let Dave know you will be attending Maker Camp. Supplies are limited! We need a head count. dave @ myhillsdalelibrary.org
July 5 & 6 – Giant Bubble Wands – craft a bubble wand using dowels, eye-screws, twine, and rope. Leave with the wand and a bubble solution recipe.
July 12 & 13 – Pants to Pillows – Bring an old pair of pants or a shirt use the sewing machine and the embroidery machine. As an alternate you can make a stuffed monster doll.
NEW DATE! WEDNESDAY July 20 – T-Shirt Design – Learn to use the Silhouette Cameo to create your own vinyl transfer! Design size will be limited to a 4″x12″ vinyl. Start thinking of your design/slogan (WEDNESDAY only).
July 26 & 27 – Rockets/Planes (Tuesday ) Boats (Wednesday) weather dependent. This year we will encourage you to strap a keychain video recorder to your paper rocket!
August 2 & 3 – Hack a Book (Tuesday – 12 Noon start time!) learn folded book art, flip book animation, or make a secret compartment) Paper Quilling (Wednesday) Craft your own quilling tool and start a quilled paper art project.
August 9 & 10 – Bent Wire Crank Toys
Activities are geared to makers aged 9 years and up. Young makers 8 years or under require a parent or guardian to assist.
