Over 90% of the library’s annual operating budget is provided for by municipal tax support.

The Friends of the Hillsdale Free Public Library and the Hillsdale Free Public Library Foundation provide additional funding to the library.  This funding permits the library to offer services above and beyond that provided by municipal support alone.

The library also receives generous donations and bequests directly from individual donors.

The Board of Trustees, The Friends, and the Foundation, are excited to announce a new opportunity to show your support for your local public library.

Consider a donation to the library or either of its supporting organizations  & show your family’s love of libraries and learning.

Consider a donation to honor or memorialize a loved one or friend.

Dylan Minneker, 17, a Hillsdale resident and Life Scout in Scouts BSA Troop 109, coordinated the fabrication and installation of the new donor recognition wall at Hillsdale Free Public Library as his Eagle Scout service project. The wall was designed by Dave Franz, Library Director. The leaves are cut and etched using the laser cutter/engraver at the library. The leaves are modelled after the sugar maple tree on the library property.
