Wednesday, January 18 – 2:30 to 4:30 pm (ish)

Due to a delivery problem, we delayed the kaleidoscope activity by one week.

We will be constructing kaleidoscopes using nothing but cardboard tubes, plastic petri dishes, some hot glue, and your hand-selected “gems.” The secret to the device is mirrored plastic.

Materials:

  • mirrored plastic sheets
  • cardboard tubes
  • cardstock paper
  • petri dishes – clear
  • plastic gems or other small colorful items

Connectors:

  • tape
  • hot glue

Tools:

  • scissors and/or x-acto knives
