On Exhibit in October – Oil Paintings by Lynn Massey

Massey began painting with oils as a young girl when she took art classes in the River Vale studio of muralist Phillip Stein. She began painting in a more serious way in 2016, describing her style as “impressionistic realism.” She uses a limited prismatic palette to create vibrantly colored landscape, still life, and floral paintings.

Speaking about her art, Massey says, “I love the brilliant colors and buttery texture of oil paint and strive in my work to capture the beauty inherent in nature and in the common objects of everyday life.”

Massey is a member of Oil Painters of America, the Ridgewood Art Institute, and Community Arts Association. She has a website to showcase her work (lynnmasseyfineart.com) and an Etsy shop (lynnmasseyfineart).
