Volunteer – English as a Second Language (ESL) Tutors
Who: No prior teaching experience or knowledge of a foreign language is required. Anyone wishing to help their adult neighbors learn English and who meets these requirements:
- Complete an online training workshop hosted by the Westwood Library (Information about workshops can be found on the Literacy Volunteers of Pascack Valley website.)
- Be at least 19 years old
- Commit to to tutoring at least one hour per week
- Have a good command of the English Language
What: Learn more about Hillsdale Free Public Library’s ESL tutoring services here.
When: Anytime the library is open.
Where: There are two study rooms available that can be booked by our ESL tutors one month in advance.
