Few mineralogical sites are more famous than the former zinc mines of Sussex County, NJ. This presentation will discuss this remarkable locale and showcase the science, history, and beautiful minerals that come from our own Garden State. The presenter will bring minerals to the presentation that you’ll see under both normal light and ultraviolet light, and discuss why these minerals “glow” with such pure, vibrant colors.
