Adult Literacy
The Hillsdale Free Public Library offers English as a second language (ESL) tutoring services to adults who want to improve their English fluency.
The Hillsdale Library is a participating member of the Literacy Volunteers of Pascack Valley. This program matches adult learners of English as a second language with trained volunteer tutors. Students work with their tutors on a one-to-one basis. The goal of the program is to further the student’s fluency in the English language, which will help them participate more fully in the community.
