Computers and Internet

The Hillsdale Free Pubic Library has the following computers available for public use:

  • Four PCs located on the 2nd floor of the library.
  • One PC located in the Children’s Library on the 1st floor. This computer is reserved for children in eighth grade or lower and their parents/caregivers when they are monitoring their children in the room.
  • Four Chromebooks that can be used anywhere in the library.

More about the library’s internet use policy

  • Please request a pass at the circulation desk to use one of our PC or Chromebook computers.
  • PC/Chromebook use is limited to a maximum of two hours per day. After the first hour, a session will be ended if other patrons need the device.
  • Patrons may not use the computers for more than one session per day.
  • Patrons may not switch to a Chromebook (or PC) after their allotted time is up on the assigned PC (or Chromebook).

Printing is possible from all the library’s computers.

The library provides free public access wi-fi. The network is identified as “DASH WiFi.” The password is “libraryaccess.” It is the same network found at many of the BCCLS member libraries.

Users of internet services at the library should be aware that the connections are public; privacy is not guaranteed.
