Join us to discuss The Ghost at the Table by Suzanne Berne.  This Thanksgiving novel centers on the tension between sisters Frances, a traditional homemaker and Cynthia, a freelance writer.  Their difficult relationship is stretched to the limit by their differing views of their mother’s death 25 years before.  Cynthia believes that her father murdered their mother with an overdose of pills, while Frances does not.  The father has recently suffered a stroke, and Frances wants a traditional holiday for the family.  Cynthia struggles with seeing him again.  Complicating this drama is a house full of guests.  Pick up a copy at our front desk.  Our discussion will take place on Thursday, November 15th at 7 P.M.
