American Museum of Natural History
The American Museum of Natural History provides single use vouchers to libraries for distribution. Each voucher permits free admission to the museum’s permanent collection and to one temporary special exhibit, IMAX film, Space Show, or Seasonal Live Animal Exhibit.
Patrons are advised to book reservations online in advance of their visit.
Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum
This pass may be presented with a Hillsdale Free Public Library card for free general admission for 2 adults and 2 children. This pass is good ONLY for admission during normal museum hours. Restrictions may apply. Replacement fee $500.
Pass does not include entrance to the Space Shuttle Pavilion.
Pass allows free admission for 2 adults and all children under 16. Show the pass for a 10% discount at the Museum gift shop and cafe. Replacement fee $100.
Storm King Art Center’s library membership pass provides free admission for library patrons who check out the pass. The Pass is valid for the admission of one car with up to six people to Storm King Art Center, limited to one vehicle per day, per membership. Children under 5 years old are not counted toward the vehicle total. Replacement fee $125.
Reserving a Museum Pass
Passes may be borrowed by Hillsdale Free Public Library library card holders who are 18 years of age or older.
Reserve a museum pass for the date you will pick it up at the library. Passes are loaned for three (3) days with no renewals. Passes must be returned to the main desk before the end of the third day during normal business hours. Days that the library is closed (Sundays and holidays) do not count toward the three days.
Passes may be reserved up to 90 days in advance.
A deposit is no longer required to borrow a museum pass. Failure to return a pass to the library by the end of the third day will incur a late fee of $10 per day. After seven (7) days, a patron must pay the full replacement cost of the pass.
The Hillsdale Free Public Library makes no guarantee that a museum pass will be available on the reserved day if prior borrowers fail to return a pass on time.
The American Museum of Natural History does not offer multi-use passes. AMNH issues redeemable vouchers. The library has a limited number of vouchers. One voucher may be reserved per Hillsdale library card holder, per year. (i.e. If there are multiple members within a family, all must have a valid library card in order to reserve separate vouchers). Juvenile cards may be used to reserve vouchers.
