Robin Payne grew up in Hillsdale and received her love of softball through
participation in the town recreation league. Her passion for the sport saw her
through to an NCAA Division III softball championship in 1983. Ms. Payne went on to
become Associate Head Coach at UNC Chapel Hill and head coach at Plymouth State
