LV-PASCACK VALLEY
ESL TUTOR TRAINING WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT
The Literacy Volunteers of Pascack Valley will be holding a Tutor Training Workshop at the Westwood Public Library on four Tuesday evenings, September 17, September 24, October 1 and October 8, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:30pm.
The training will be for English as a Second Language (ESL), which will prepare tutors to teach foreign-born adults to speak and read English. All books and supplies will be furnished free of charge for those who will be tutoring for LV-PV, which includes the libraries of Dumont, Emerson, Hillsdale, Montvale, Paramus, Park Ridge, Ramsey, River Vale, Township of Washington, Upper Saddle River and Westwood. Tutors for other libraries must pay $45.
Registration is limited to 25 persons. Call Maureen Lostumbo, Coordinator, or Marge Taylor, Asst. Coordinator at the Westwood Library (201)-664-7597 for more information or to register for the workshops. Maureen or Marge can be reached at the Westwood Library on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 9:30 and noon and on Thursday between 9:30am and 4:30pm, as well as Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 9pm.
