The Hillsdale Library invites Hillsdale residents and Hillsdale Library cardholders to participate in the 2014 Maker Faire on Saturday, April 26, from 10 am to 4 pm.
What is a Maker Faire? We are defining it as a showcase of invention, creativity, and craft.
What do you have to do? Make something! Make something out of other things. Make something that moves. Make something that makes music/noise. Make something electric. Make something that can be worn. Make something just because you think it is cool.
Let Dave know what you are up to before March 30, 2014. We need to plan for your space. On Saturday, April 26th, the public will be invited to come see what you have made and they will get to cast their votes. If the crowd loves your creation you may win the $250 grand prize. There will also be $50 awards in each of six categories.
Are you a maker? a crafter? a Do-it-yourselfer? Well, even if you don’t think of yourself as a creative or crafty person, you can give it a shot. There is a bookcase of books and magazines that you can borrow from. CLICK HERE for a list of these resources in the library catalog.
All Think It, Make It, Share It activities are supported with funding from the Friends of the Hillsdale Library.
