This is more of a 4.25, but I really enjoyed this short novella. It was interesting to see in the perspective of the villian in this, and it gave me a better respect of him and what he goes through. After reading the first actual book in the series, Shatter Me, I’m glad I picked up this before diving into the second one. If reading the Shatter Me trilogy, I definitely recommend reading this before reading the second book, because it give you such a different perspective of the other main male character that I think is crucial for understanding the rest of the series.
