The Art and Craft of Wood Turning: Work by Members of Hudson Valley Woodturners

May 5 through May 31.

Register in advance for the Pen Turning Program to be held at the Library on Saturday, June 4 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Participants will be able to turn their own wood pen casing on a lathe. Supplies for this free program are donated by Rockler Woodworking and Hardware, Packard Woodworks and Hudson Valley Woodturners. Register  in person or call the library at 201-358-5072.

Hudson Valley Woodturners (HVWT) is a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. HVWT is based in the Pascack Valley. At each meeting of HVWT a wood turning skill is demonstrated and attendees given the opportunity to apply the lesson to a new project.

Membership in HVWT is open to people of all ages interested in woodturning. No prior experience in turning is necessary. Visitors are always welcome at meetings. Meetings are typically held the third Thursday of the month in the evening at the Education Building of Ramapo Reformed Church, 100 Island Road, Mahwah, NJ.
