The pen and color pencil illustrations of Tamao Van Beers will be on exhibit during the month of December.

Tamao is a native of Funabashi City, Japan. She graduated from Bunka Gakuin Art School in 1996 and moved to the United States in 2011.

She has been illustrating and painting animals since she was a young child and dancing classical ballet for over 30 years. Tamao has been commissioned to paint portraits for several people, but her focus has been mainly on ballet and animal themes. Over the past several years she has self-produced annual calendars based upon the “Nutcracker” (2012), “Don Quixote” (2013), “Giselle” (2014), “Sleeping Beauty” (2015), “Coppelia” (2016), “Swan Lake” (2017), and “Cinderella” (2018).

Tamao currently resides in Hillsdale, NJ with her American husband and two cats named William and Jacob (named after the Brothers Grimm).
