Kenneth Dudonis served from 1961 to 1964 in the 3d Infantry Division as an Engineer E5, a demolition specialist. He later served as a detective in the NYPD bomb squad. After suffering injuries from an explosion in 1981, he took up model building as a means to recover dexterity in his hands. It was therapy that turned into an engaging hobby. Visit the library to see ten World War II era ships, tanks, and a variety of patches from the armed services.
Mr. Dudonis is a resident of Hillsdale and co-author of The Counterterrorism handbook: tactics, procedures, and techniques, now in its 4th edition.
This exhibit will run through July 4.
