Saturday, April 11 – 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Impress your friends with your knowledge of impressionism by attending our third and final art lecture presented by Dr. Norris! You’ll learn how French Impressionist painters created new images quivering with energy while rebelling against an ancient state system of art training through art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Princeton University Art Museum and the Zimmererli Art Museum at Rutgers.

Dr. Norris got his BA in classics from the University of California at San Diego and his MA in classics and Ph.D. in art history at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He spent twenty years at the Cloisters Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and has lectured on trips all over the world. He lives in Teaneck, New Jersey.

This is our final art lecture of this series, so be sure to clear your calender and make time to stop by!

Please register to let us know you will be attending.

Funding provided by the Hillsdale Free Public Library Foundation through the gift of Gayle and Paul Gross.
