Get free help filing your taxes.

IRS Certified volunteers for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will provide assistance to individuals filing their 2024 income tax forms at the Hillsdale Free Public Library. Appointments must be made in advance. AARP Foundation volunteers will be at the library on Tuesdays, from 10 am to 3:30 pm, beginning February 11 and ending on April 8.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides tax assistance to anyone, free of charge, with a focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low to moderate income. You don’t need to be an AARP member to use the service.

An information packet must be picked up at the library and completed prior to the appointment. Packets should be available at the library after January 21.

Since 1968, Tax-Aide has helped over 80 million taxpayers receive all the credits and deductions they’re entitled to. Our volunteers are IRS-certified every year, so they understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code. You can choose to have an IRS-certified volunteer prepare your taxes or provide coaching so you can prepare them yourself.
