The Hillsdale Free Public Library seeks creative folk to submit bookmark designs.
The designs will be judged according to artistic merit and should really WOW us. Select designs will be professionally printed on heavy laminated cardstock. Bookmarks will be distributed at our circulations desks and designs will also be featured prominently on the website.
- Bookmark design should reflect “Library-ness,” e.g. one or more of the following ideas: learning, creativity, inspiration, imagination, reading).
- Bookmark design must fit within a space of 2” x 8”.
- Bookmark design can be composed from three dimensional materials, but final result should be submitted as a flat graphic image for printing.
- Media suggestions: pencil, crayon, paint, collage, sculpture, photograph, Inkscape, GIMP, Adobe Illustrator, needlepoint, ???
- Submit as many designs as you want to dave@hfpl.org using the downloadable form below.
Legal “stuff”: By submitting a design, you are essentially stating that:
- It is your design and no one else’s.
- The Hillsdale Free Public Library is given permission to use your design in any format, print or digital.
- You will not come back later when you are a famous artist and SUE your local public library for the rights. That would not be nice!
