Mayor Sheinfield has spent much of his career in public service. He started in Washington, DC, as a Congressional Aide to a member of the House Ways and Means Committee. He spent many years in public relations and, for the past nine years, has worked for Bergen County. For the first five, he was the Policy and Communications Director for the Board of County Commissioners. For the last four years, he has served as the Community & Government Relations Manager for the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority. He served as the Hillsdale Municipal Chair of the Democratic Party since 2015 and held that position until he was elected Mayor in 2023. The mayor is married to Jonna Sheinfield and has three children.
